Major League Baseball has a lot of history with the last name Rodriguez.
The latest: Julio Rodriguez, the Seattle Mariners' star centerfielder.
There have been many, though.
Alex Rodriguez, A-Rod.
Francisco Rodriguez, K-Rod (for strikeouts).
Ivan Rodriguez, for whom I-Rod didn't stick and instead went by Pudge.
And now J-Rod, who continues to set records that amount to things like "first player this young to do this amazing thing since a long time ago, or maybe ever."

No, Julio isn't related to the other Rodriguez MLB stars.
His father was an agricultural engineer, and his mother a dentist.
Now, they're proud parents as Rodriguez has the Mariners into the ALCS.
Seattle has never even played in a World Series, and now they're four wins away.
Rodriguez didn't have a good ALDS, but the Mariners advanced anyway. He's got that star power shine that will allow him to take over any series he wants, though.
Seattle would much appreciate if Rodriguez took over this stage.
A-Rod, K-Rod and Pudge all won World Series titles.
Julio wouldn't mind joining that club.
