In a way, this was a home game for Josh Naylor.
Well, a home country game for the Seattle Mariners' first baseman.
And he loved the home country cooking.
Naylor blasted a late home run to put the exclamation point on the emphatic Mariners win in Game 2 of the ALCS to take a 2-0 series lead on the Toronto Blue Jays.
In the process, Naylor became the first Canadian-born player to homer in the MLB postseason as a visiting player in Canada, according to Mariners PR.
There have been three Canadian born players to homer for the Blue Jays in Canada during playoff games: Russell Martin, Michael Saunders and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Naylor had himself quite the night.
Earlier in the game, he stole second base standing up.
That came after Naylor singled up the middle on a pitch that was absurdly high and out of the strike zone.
He also made a sweet diving play at first base to lead to an out for his defense.
There are some guys, in this case like Naylor, who just are so much more athletic than their outward appearance would have them given credit for.
It's special to watch what Naylor has done since joining the Mariners before the trade deadline. And now he's got them two wins away from the World Series.
