The Philadelphia Phillies will certainly be buyers at this year’s trade deadline.
Philadelphia is currently 37-23, half-a-game behind the New York Mets for first place in the National League East.
The team appears to be ready for another World Series run but definitely need to make some upgrades to be real contenders.
Just like other contenders, the club will be in the market for relievers. But the Phillies could get bold and try to add another star to its roster.
Tim Kelly from OnPattison.com listed several creative trade targets that would bolster Philadelphia’s lineup.
One name on the list that president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski should “make the call, just in case” is Cleveland Guardians All-Star left fielder Steven Kwan.

Kwan, 27, would be a perfect fit for the Phillies if Dombrowski somehow convinced the Guardians to part ways with him.
Kwan excels at hitting for average and getting on base. He has also won three consecutive Gold Glove awards.
If Kwan were to be moved, a team would have to give up a lot of assets to obtain his services.
The Phillies haven’t had great production from left field. Max Kepler and Weston Wilson have combined for seven home runs and 24 RBI while slashing .200/.305/.337.
This season, Kwan has five home runs and 21 RBI while slashing .308/.368/.432 in 58 games.
