The City of Brotherly Love saw its fair share of heartbreak in sports over the last year, but that doesn't mean there weren't plenty of memories made.

As the defending National League champion Phillies return to action, they'll look to create even more memorable moments during the 162-game slate. They got started when the offseason began and made plenty of splashes — bringing in shortstop Trea Turner was their top acquisition.

The spending spree continued with Taijuan Walker to reinforce the rotation, and the Phils also added big-name bullpen help in Gregory Soto and Craig Kimbrel. They'll complement a lineup that can supply plenty of offense.

And there's no uncertainty about the manager as the new campaign begins. Rob Thomson had the interim tag removed last year after he replaced the fired Joe Girardi and led the Phillies to the National League championship.

Here is a complete guide to watching the Phillies without cable in 2023, including live streaming options for fans inside and outside the Philadelphia market:

How to watch Phillies games without cable

— The newly rebranded Fubo, formerly known as fuboTV, carries the Phillies' regional sports network, NBC Sports Philadelphia (NBCSP), meaning you can catch the games if you live in the Philadelphia market. The streamer comes with a free trial and allows you to cancel at any time.

—  Hulu Live TV has a live sports package that also carries NBCSP along with all the channels you'd need to watch the Fightin' Phils, such as ESPN, Fox, FS1 and TBS. MLB Network is not available on Hulu. This option is $69.99 a month and also includes access to Disney+ and ESPN+.

—  YouTube TV carries NBCSP and the other necessary channels, but just like Hulu, it does not carry MLB Network. This option is $72.99 a month, but for a limited time it's $62.99 a month for the first three months.

—  For the out-of-market crowd, MLB.tv is worth a look. You would be able to watch every game, except those of the teams in your market. MLB's subscription is $149.99 for the year or $24.99 a month. If you only want to watch the Phillies, then that is $129.99 for the season.

Fubo is also carrying MLB.tv starting this year, for $25 per month on top of the Fubo subscription.

—  For fans inside or outside the Philadelphia market, the Phillies will have at least one game on Peacock and Apple TV+ this season. Those are separate streaming services that require a subscription and are unavailable through any cable or streaming provider. Peacock is $4.99 a month and Apple TV+ is $6.99 a month or $69 for the year.

Phillies schedule 2023

The majority of Phillies games this season will be available on NBCSP, with some exceptions for broadcasts on the local NBC affiliate or NBCSP's overflow network, NBCSP+.

Thanks to Phils' World Series appearance last season, fans will be able to catch the team on national television several times, especially early in the season. Four of the team's first five games will be available to a national audience.

April will also see the Phillies on Peacock and Apple TV+, which require separate subscriptions whether you are inside or outside the local market.
