The Mariners and Tigers face off in the ALDS after two very different ends to the regular season.
Seattle cruised to the top of the AL West by winning 60.9 percent of its games since July. The Tigers, who at one point had the best record in baseball, endured a freefall that included 17 losses in September before they found themselves in the Wild Card.
Now, both squads will battle it out in a best-of-five series to send one to the ALCS.
The Mariners have one of the most entertaining offenses to watch in MLB. Between home run leader Cal Raleigh, aka "the Big Dumper," Julio Rodriguez and Randy Arozarena, Seattle is primed for some big hits in the ALDS. The M's also have a great pitching rotation between Bryan Woo, Logan Gilbert, George Kirby and Luis Castillo.
The Tigers, meanwhile, have one of the best pitchers around in Tarik Skubal with solid batting from Riley Greene, Kerry Carpenter and Spencer Torkelson.
