Softball is having a moment.

Fresh off an electrifying Women's College World Series in June, the sport has another opportunity to capitalize on its growing popularity. The play on the dirt has been entertaining and dramatic, so we should expect nothing less as the future stars take the field for a Little League-branded version.

Another 12 teams enter the competition this year in hopes it will be they who find glory in Greenville, N.C., site of this year's Little League Softball World Series.

Midway Little League in Hewitt, Texas, walked away as champions in 2022 and now gets the chance to defend its crown after winning in regionals to become the Southwest Region representative.

As the first day of competition nears, which group of youngsters will claim bragging rights just in time to head back to school?

Here's everything you need to know about watching all of the Little League Softball World Series action in 2023, including channels, streams and schedule information.

What channel is the Little League Softball World Series on?

  • Dates: Aug. 6-13
  • TV channels: ESPN, ESPN2, ABC

The tournament begins with 13 of the first 14 games being shown exclusively on ESPN+, but that will change before a champion is crowned. ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC will carry the live broadcasts in the back of the tournament, including the championship game on Aug. 13.

Those looking to stream LLSWS games will find that streaming offers plenty of options as well, with ESPN+ and Fubo, which offers a free trial, headlining the coverage.

How to watch the Little League Softball World Series live online

For cord cutters and fans on the go, there are plenty of ways to not miss a moment of the action:

— ESPN+ will be the go-to outlet for streaming the Little League Softball World Series, thanks to the streamer having exclusive rights to 13 of the tournament's first 14 games. Those games will not be available on cable either, meaning ESPN+ is the one-stop-shop for Little League softball.

— Fubo is the place to be once the games flip over to cable as the tournament approaches the finish line. All the games on ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC can also be seen on the streaming site, which offers a free trial for new subscribers.
