It's only fair to allow a couple of guesses before we get to the answer.
How much do you think a chicken sandwich costs at MLB's Winter Meetings?
All of the baseball world has descended upon what amounts to a baseball convention in Orlando, and if you don't have time to leave the premises, you've got to eat what's on offer, right?
It's a situation set up to see the prices be quite high.
But you're not going to believe this number. So take a guess. And then scroll down.

How much does a chicken sandwich cost at the Winter Meetings?
The answer: $31.
That's what Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reported on Tuesday:
No wonder the Rangers aren't spending. A chicken sandwich goes for $31 at the Winter Meetings.

Grant obviously already found a punchline in that post on X. There are plenty of other joke opportunities on offer for fans of teams that aren't exactly known for spending money. Shoot, the Cleveland Guardians would trade that sandwich with a third of it still yet to be eaten and only get an egg in return.
Hopefully it's at least a good chicken sandwich. But there's no way it's worth that much.
