The Blue Jays will take on the Yankees in the AL Division Series, marking their first-ever postseason meeting.

The showdown for AL East supremacy kicks off now. The Toronto Blue Jays claimed their first division crown since 2015, finishing the regular season with a 94-68 record, identical to the Yankees, but edging New York in the season series, eight wins to five.

That also earned Toronto a well-deserved first-round bye, giving them time to rest up, while the Yankees had to grind through a hard-fought three-game wild-card series against the Red Sox in the Bronx.

While New York is chasing its first championship since 2009, Toronto haven't won the World Series since back-to-back titles in 1992-93.
