A compelling American League Championship Series begins Sunday night inside a raucous Rogers Centre, with the Blue Jays hosting the Mariners.

Both franchises have waited a long time for this moment. Seattle hasn't made the ALCS since 2001, while Toronto is primed for its first ALCS action since 2016. Now, both are just four skinny wins away from the World Series.

In terms of rest, it's advantage, Blue Jays. They've been off since Wednesday after capping off a beatdown of the rival Yankees in the ALDS. We'll see if Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s red-hot bat is still scintillating, and it also means that their pitching staff is raring to go. One of veteran Kevin Gausman or rookie Trey Yesavage is expected to draw the Game 1 nod.

There's no rest for the weary when it comes to the Mariners. They punched their ticket to the ALCS via a walk-off in a 15-inning thriller on Friday, the longest winner-take-all game, by innings, in postseason history. Logan Gilbert and Luis Castillo each pitched in relief, leaving the Game 1 starter in question.

But both teams certainly have plenty of momentum, which makes Sunday's matchup fascinating. Here's everything you need to know about watching Game 1 of the ALCS.
