Yankees' 3.62 ERA pitcher receives favorable free agency prediction image

The New York Yankees have several key decisions to make this offseason. After a dissapointing season that ended in the ALDS, New York's front office is under a lot of pressure to hit on free agents, and know when to let certain players walk.

On the pitching side, some of those decisions include Devin Williams and Luke Weaver. Williams is likely gone because things just didn't work out with him in pinstripes, but Luke Weaver solidified himself as one of the top arms manager Aaron Boone could count on.

So, what is Luke Weaver's free agency prediction?

Yankees' Luke Weaver predicted to sign multi-year extension to stay with team.

In a recent predictions piece by NJ.com, the Yankees are predicted to bring back Luke Weaver on a three-year deal:

"Weaver wasn’t right in the second half, and he was tipping pitches in the playoffs, but he’s proved over a long enough sample size that he can pitch in New York."

"Prediction: Re-signs with Yankees for three years."

Weaver did have an up-and-down year with New York, He had an incredible start to the season, where he recorded a 1.05 ERA in his first 24 outings, but then got injured, and came back down the earth a bit.

However, he did still finish with a 3.62 ERA in 64.1 innings and recorded 72 strikeouts.

The 32-year-old Weaver is a journeyman in MLB, but he seems to have found a comfortable fit in New York, and the front office should welcome him back with open arms.
