Yankees' Jazz Chisholm gets the weirdest injury update from 2 different plays image

This is not the kind of injury update a team normally provides.

Jazz Chisholm left the New York Yankees' game on Thursday night with not one but two injuries. And they happened on two different plays.

Chisholm was announced as having a knee contusion in both his left knee and his right knee. They didn't occur on the same play.

That sounds painful.

Maybe Chisholm decided with one beat up knee he was going to keep playing. But once it was two, it was tough for the Yankees to justify keeping him in the game.

It's not something New York wants. They need to keep pushing to maintain their wild card positioning and even potentially chase down the Toronto Blue Jays atop the AL East.

Chisholm has been an absolute star since the Yankees traded for him from the Miami Marlins at the 2024 trade deadline.

He's putting up power and speed accomplishments not seen in decades in New York. He's had a couple stats in recent weeks that hadn't been done since Alex Rodriguez suited up for the Yanks.

They'll have to hope Chisholm is OK, because he's too important to be out for long.
