Errors happen in Major League Baseball. If there's one thing that's for certain, no matter how good a player or fielder is, they'll eventually make an error.

For some, those errors have been more notable than others.

For New York Yankee superstar Aaron Judge, that was the case during Game 5 of the 2024 World Series, when he dropped a fly ball in center.

Losing against the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games, the Yankees had a disappointing year, and there's not much to argue about that. Whenever this team doesn't win a World Series, the Yankees will typically find that to be a failed year.

This is an organization built on winning, similar to the Dodgers.

And for Judge, he's had to hear about that error ever since.

Whether it be people in the media, social media, or other avenues, people have let Judge know that he needed to make that play.

If he did, there's a chance the Yankees' season could’ve been different.

When speaking to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Judge admitted that it's something he thinks about. However, the true professional also noted that it's baseball, and stuff like this happens.

“Stuff like that happens," Judge said. “I’ve just got to make the play. There were five other plays after that could have changed the course of that. Really, you kind of dismiss it right after the play happens. We still have the lead. Once the play is over with, there’s nothing you can do about it. Go out and make the next play. That’s what it really all comes down to."

Judge continues to have the perfect mindset when it comes to these things.

Again, the error is completely on him, and he owned up to it.

However, his mindset continues to be excellent, noting that he can't dwell on the past and just needs to go out and make whatever play he can next.
