The New York Yankees stayed alive on Tuesday night with a comeback win in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays opened the scoring with a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. two-run home run in the first inning, and then added four more runs in the third inning.

The Yankees entered the bottom of the third inning down 6-1 and things looked bleak in New York. However, the Yankees scored two runs in the inning, three runs in the fourth, two more runs in the fifth inning to take the lead, 8-6.

Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s Crazy Momentum Shift Theory

As the Yankees were ready in the field for the fourth inning to begin, two fans decided to run onto the field and were tackled by security guards. Neither fan made it very far, but it certainly gave the home crowd a good laugh.

That moment, Jazz Chisholm Jr. believes, changed the game for the Yankees.

"You know why we won?" Chisholm asked during postgame (h/t NJ.com). "You know what inspired us?"

To answer Chisholm's question, a New Jersey Advanced Media member said, "Judge?"

"Yeah," Chisholm said (h/t NJ.com). "And those fans who streaked onto the field."

Chisholm always finds a way to bring the entertainment, but he wasn't kidding. The Yankees' second baseman enjoyed watching the fans streak the field.

"Who doesn’t?" Chisholm said (h/t NJ.com). "I love it when that happens!"

As for the rest of Chisholm's teammates, the vibes around the streakers was a little different.

"I heard fans cheering, then I looked behind me and one of them was right there," Yankees left fielder Cody Bellinger said (h/t NJ.com). "I was like, ‘Damn!’ I didn’t know what was going on."

Yankees' pitcher Clarke Schmidt might have had to best response of the night. To Chisholm's comment though, not to the streakers.

"Wow," Schmidt said (h/t NJ.com). "That’s a crazy thing to say. I don’t know why he would say that and encourage more of them, but Jazz finds wild things to say."

As for the Yankees' entertaining second baseman, he's standing by his statement. After all, the Yankees were down 6-3 before the streakers, and then scored six unanswered runs, including five in the next two innings.

“I might have to go pay their fines and tell them to do the same thing (Wednesday)," Chisholm said with a smile (h/t NJ.com). "I think they changed the whole momentum. The next inning, Judge homers and ties the game. The next inning, I homer."

"I think it might have been the streakers, the guys that came in. They got in (the Blue Jays’) heads a little bit. It’s all fun."

The Yankees' win on Tuesday night, whether due to fans streaking or not, forced a Game 4 in Yankee Stadium on Wednesday.

The Blue Jays will have another shot to eliminate the Yankees from the ALDS and advance to the ALCS, and if they can't, it'll all come down to a Game 5 back in Toronto.

Game 4's first pitch is set for 7:08 p.m. on Wednesday, so there's still time for Chisholm to bail the streakers out of jail in time for the game.
