The New York Yankees have won four straight games and caught the Toronto Blue Jays atop the American League East.

The Blue Jays have the tie-breaker over the Yankees with four games to go, but New York is hot right now and it's been led by their reigning AL MVP.

Aaron Judge went 3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI, two runs scored and a walk in the Yankees' Wednesday night win over the Chicago White Sox to tie the Blue Jays in the AL East. After the game, manager Aaron Boone sang his praises of the seven-time All-Star.

Aaron Boone Sends Four-Word Aaron Judge Message

In addition to the Yankees' push for the AL East crown, Judge is at the top of the AL MVP race alongside Seattle Mariners' catcher Cal Raleigh.

The Yankees' star's two home run performance on Wednesday night was the perfect example of why Judge is contending for his second consecutive, and third career MVP, and his manager gave him the ultimate praise following the game.

"He’s the total package,” Boone said (h/t New York Daily News).

Judge is in his 10th year in the MLB, all with the Yankees, and the star outfielder is a seven-time All-Star, three-time MVP and four-time Silver Slugger.

He's won the AL MVP award in two of the last three years and is fighting with Raleigh for the award in 2025. After setting career-highs in nearly every category in 2024, Judge has only gotten better in an astronomical 2025 season.

Judge is hitting .328 with a 1.136 OPS, 51 home runs and 109 RBI. The Yankees' superstar leads the MLB in BA, OPS, OPS+ and WAR.

However, his AL MVP competitor, Raleigh, leads the MLB with his 60 home runs and leads the AL with 125 RBI.

Although Judge leads the league in virtually every other category, there's a sense Raleigh could earn his first AL MVP award if he can break Judge's home run record (62) from 2022 with the incredible season he's put together.

However, Judge's skipper thinks his star deserves his third AL MVP, as the Yankees look to overtake the Blue Jays atop the AL East in the final four games of the regular season.
