Juan Soto remains one of the most special talents in Major League Baseball.

And one historic mark he reached this week put into context just how remarkable the New York Mets' superstar is.

Soto has now reached a fifth season in his career with at least 25 home runs and at least 115 walks.

That times him with two legends for fourth-most such seasons on the all-time list. Both New York Yankees hero Lou Gehrig and long-time Cleveland slugger Jim Thome also had five of these seasons, according to MLB Network's Sarah Langs.

The three players in the history of baseball to have more of these seasons are three of the best to ever do it.

In third place, with nine seasons of at least 25 homers and 115 walks, is Boston Red Sox all-timer Ted Williams.

In second place, with 10 of these incredible seasons, is all-time great Babe Ruth.

And in first place, far and away the leader of this record with 13 seasons of at least 25 home runs and 115 walks: Barry Bonds, who put together his crazy statistics for both the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants.

Soto has already made his mark with four different teams. He broke in with the Washington Nationals, then was traded to the San Diego Padres, then to the Yankees.

He's arrived on the other side of New York to a big money contract from Steve Cohen and a lot of hype.

He got off to a slightly slow start this season, which raised a couple questions about his contract value.

And then Soto found his usual stride of taking close pitches, reaching base and hitting the baseball a long way to all parts of the field.

There's likely much, much more where this came from, and Soto is already in the presence of absolute legends.
