Shohei Ohtani, as usual, is in rare company.

In some ways, it goes without saying. Of course the Los Angeles Dodgers' two-way superstar is in rare company. There's no one like him.

But even just as a hitter, he's in a lot of exclusive clubs with guys who only were position players for a living.

The latest became true Sunday as the regular season came to an end.

Ohtani finished the season with 146 runs and 55 home runs.

He's only the fifth player to ever have a season with at least 145 runs and 50 homers.

The other four are Babe Ruth, Hack Wilson, Jimmie Foxx and Sammy Sosa, according to @JayHayKid. Ruth did it four times, with the others each doing it once.

It's really a remarkable feat when you consider that Ohtani has also spent the second half of the season getting his pitching groove back.

He scores so many runs, hits for so much power, and also prevents opposing hitters from scoring.

There's never been a player like Ohtani.

He's among the legends of the game just with his bat.

Add in his arm, and he's one of one.
