It's win or go home tonight for the Cincinnati Reds, as they dropped the first game of the best-of-three wild-card set 10-5 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
For the Dodgers, if they beat the Reds tonight (game starting at 9:00 P.M. EST), they will move on to take on the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS. Los Angeles has revealed its game two lineup, as Yoshinobu Yamamoto is set to start the game on the mound for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers' game two lineup has been revealed
Opposing Yoshinobu Yamamoto is Zack Littell, who was acquired by the Reds just ahead of the trade deadline. Dodgers' Will Smith is still out of the lineup, but is expected to be available as a pinch-hitter.
Here is the Dodgers' game 2 lineup:
1. Shohei Ohtani, DH
2. Mookie Betts, SS
3. Freddie Freeman, 1B
4. Teoscar Hernandez, RF
5. Max Muncy, 3B
6. Andy Pages, CF
7. Kiké Hernandez, LF
8. Miguel Rojas, 2B
9. Ben Rordvedt, C
SP: Yoshinobu Yamamoto
In the first game of this wild-card matchup, Shohei Ohtani hit two home runs, Teoscar Hernandez had two home runs, and Tommy Edman, who is out of the lineup today, also added one homer.
As for Edman, he appeared to have aggravated his ankle, and it seems to be a precautionary thing for now. Kiké is also back in the lineup after exiting the Dodgers' 10-5 victory with back tightness.
