The Los Angeles Dodgers currently own the best record in the National League. They recently snapped a seven-game losing streak and took two out of three from the San Francisco Giants.

The trade deadline is fast approaching, and the Dodgers can never be counted out when it comes to making big moves to boost their roster. There are needs that must be addressed soon.

One of the top available players this summer could be Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins as Baltimore looks to sell.

Nick Villano of FanSided proposed the idea of Los Angeles trading for him in the coming weeks.

"While we think the Mets and Phillies will also be in on Mullins, and it would be a very easy trip to either stadium, the Dodgers stand out here. They don’t need him, per se, but he would be a player who could fill into all three outfield spots. It just seems like a Dodgers thing to do," Villano writes.

Mullins is struggling this season with Baltimore. He is slashing .218/.302/.411 with 13 home runs, 41 RBI, 13 stolen bases and a .713 OPS.

He is a free agent at the end of the season and is not having the best possible walk year. But perhaps joining a contender could help him rediscover his stroke.

The 30-year-old was an All-Star with Baltimore in 2021 when he hit 30 home runs, a career-high. He also hit for a career-best .291 average that season.

But with Baltimore out of contention, it is highly likely he is traded at the deadline. The Dodgers could potentially find a fit for him. They will likely be adding at the deadline.

It will certainly be interesting to see if the Dodgers target him.
