The Los Angeles Dodgers have one of the best rosters in baseball, and their biggest priority is getting players off the injured list. However, if that does not happen, they could be aggressive at the trade deadline.
The Dodgers have one of the best offenses in baseball. Their offense is second in home runs, first in runs, second in OPS and first in hits. On paper, their pitching staff is the best in baseball. They have Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Rōki Sasaki, Shohei Ohtani and Tyler Glasnow. However, Glasnow, Snell and Sasaki are on the injured list, and Ohtani has yet to take the mound for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers have everything they need to make another World Series run, but they need all of their players to get healthy. The Athletic's Jim Bowden revealed that if they don't start getting their stars back, they could trade for another starting pitcher.
"The Dodgers are most focused on getting their starting pitchers healthy and back on the mound including Shohei Ohtani, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, Roki Sasaki and Tony Gonsolin," wrote Bowden. "If the Dodgers can get them healthy for the stretch run, they really don’t have an obvious need to address at the deadline. They have the best offense and lineup in baseball, top to bottom, and when healthy, arguably the best rotation, too. But can their pitchers get healthy? If not, the Dodgers will look to trade for yet another starter."
Last season the Dodgers had Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Clayton Kershaw and Tyler Glasnow miss a significant amount of time. They went and got Jack Flaherty who was a key player in their championship run. The Dodgers have shown they are not going to wait around for things to happen. If they think Glasnow, Snell or Sasaki will not be able to get healthy, they will start making calls.

The Dodgers have plenty of attractive prospects and depth arms they could part ways with in hopes of winning a championship. However, the next few weeks will really paint the picture. If Snell, Glasnow and Sasaki start rehab assignments, then the Dodgers will probably be content with their current roster.
