No one older has ever pitched for the Kansas City Royals.
Rich Hill set the new record on Tuesday night when he took the mound for Kansas City against the Cubs.
He broke a mark previously held by Gaylord Perry, according to MLB Network's Sarah Langs.

How old is Rich Hill?
Rich Hill is 45 years old. Specifically, Hill is 45 years and 133 days on Tuesday.
Perry pitched for the Royals just a few days after turning 45.
That makes Hill the oldest pitcher in Royals history.
He's the oldest to appear in any MLB game since Jamie Moyer made his final appearance on May 27, 2012, when Moyer was 49 years, 191 days old, according to Langs.
It's an absolutely extraordinary feat for Hill.
