The Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners met earlier Wednesday afternoon for Game 4 of the ALDS. Seattle had the 2-1 edge over Detroit, so it was Detroit's backs against the wall in this one.

Seattle was able to get out to a 3-0 lead by the fifth inning, but that would be all the scoring Seattle could muster. Dillon Dingler got the scoring started for Detroit with an RBI double, followed by Jahmai Jones and Javier Baez also hitting an RBI to tie the game.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Riley Greene stepped up to the plate to clear the tie and give the Tigers a 4-3 lead. He hit a solo home run that went an astounding 454 feet to right-center field.

However, the scoring did not stop there. Detroit went on to score five more runs to take clear control and win Game 4 by a score of 9-3, tying the series at two apiece.

After the game, Detroit slugger Spencer Torkelson spoke with MLB Network's Jon Morosi. He was asked how he felt about Greene's monster home run, and he was not shy about expressing how he feels about his teammate.

"So fired up. He is one of the best hitters that I have ever met, ever gotten the chance to watch hit. He's so gifted. That was a special swing and there's more to come."

Torkelson reveals that Greene is one of the best hitters he has ever gotten the chance to watch. He was happy to see his friend deliver in such a big moment and warned fans there is more where that came from.

Both Detroit and Seattle will have a day off on Thursday before they meet on Friday for the important Game 5 of the ALDS.
