Nine years ago, the Chicago Cubs brought home their first World Series title in 108 years, beating the Cleveland Indians, now known as the Guardians, in seven games.
The Cubs winning the 2016 World Series was one of the best stories in Major League Baseball history.
When the Cubs walked out of Progressive Field in Cleveland holding the Commissioner's trophy, there was a feeling that the team would win multiple World Series.
The Cubs never returned to the Fall Classic after 2016, but they could reach the series again yet this season.
Chicago has one of the best teams in Major League Baseball this year, but it needs to upgrade their roster if it wants to try to win the World Series.

The Cubs should try to add another starting pitcher, and Zachary Rotman from Fansided thinks the team should consider trading for Arizona Diamondbacks star Merrill Kelly.
"All eyes in Arizona are on Zac Gallen, and understandably so, but Merrill Kelly should be the Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher that the Cubs target. Both Gallen and Kelly are on expiring contracts, but Gallen has been one of the worst pitchers in the sport while Kelly has been pitching as well as he has," Rotman wrote. "The right-hander has a 3.22 ERA in a league-leading 22 starts and 128.2 innings of work this season, and he's only been more effective as the year has progressed. Kelly allowed nine runs in just 3.2 innings of work in his second start of the season, but he has a 2.71 ERA in the 20 starts he's made since. If that one brutal start was taken out of the equation, his ERA would be well below 3.00, which is outstanding."
Kelly is in the final year of his $16 million contract and would give a boost to the Cubs' starting rotation.
It will be interesting to see how the Chicago Cubs handle the trade deadline this week and whether they will upgrade their rotation.
