The Boston Red Sox are on the wrong side of .500 with June right around the corner. On Memorial Day, the Red Sox dropped their third straight game, this time in a 3-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on the road. The Red Sox lost three in a row and four in a row earlier in May, so this is yet another losing streak for a team that had promise entering the season.
The Red Sox scored a run in the top of the ninth and had the tying run at third, but Connor Wong hit a flyout to end the game.
Afterward, veteran Rob Refsnyder was frustrated as can be regarding the losses for Boston:
"We still lost. I don't really care. I don't really care about promise. We lost. It's frustrating. I’m tired of losing. I’m tired of losing close games. We just need to figure it out."
"We gotta figure it out...We're not getting the job done," Refsnyder continued. "We suck right now."

Refsnyder pinch-hit on Monday and walked twice, including once in the ninth inning before being replaced by a pinch-runner.
The Red Sox wasted a great start from Garrett Crochet, who went 6.2 innings while giving up two runs and striking out 11 batters, albeit in a losing effort.
This loss moves the Red Sox behind the Toronto Blue Jays, which means they are in fourth place in the American League East in a disappointing turn of events.
