Red Sox receive flurry of Winter Meeting rumors regarding Alex Bregman, top free agents, potential blockbuster trades image

The Boston Red Sox have made some decent moves this offseason, but haven’t really made the big move fans were expecting. However, with the Winter Meetings about to begin, that could all change.

Via Red Sox insider Marino Pepen, the Sox are the center of the most rumors at the Winter Meetings. According to him, the Sox are interested in making some big-time signings, trades, and shopping some of their own stars.

For big moves, the Sox are interested in signing Toronto Blue Jays All-Star Bo Bichette and trading for Arizona Diamondbacks two-time All-Star Ketel Marte. They are also interested in signing Pete Alonso, who they are supposed to meet with tomorrow, and reuniting with Kyle Schwarber.

As for in-house moves, the Sox are still very interested in re-signing Alex Bregman, who has become the leader of their team. They are also shopping All-Star outfielder Jarren Duran, and two-time Gold Glove outfielder Wilyer Abreu, as they need to solve their logjam in the outfield.

If the Red Sox make at least two or three of any of these moves, they could chalk this offseason up as a huge win. However, they need to make sure their top priority is bringing back Bregman, and he isn’t the only slugger they get.

Hopefully, these rumors are true, and the Winter Meetings produce some news that the Red Sox fandom would love to hear.
