The Atlanta Braves have had some positive pieces this season despite a tough start to the season.

Atlanta had a rough start to the season but has started to turn things around, winning seven of its last 10 games. The Braves currently have a 14-16 record through 30 games and are in third place in the National League East right now behind the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies.

Things didn't start off well this year, but one guy who has helped the club stay afloat is All-Star slugger Marcell Ozuna. He has appeared in 27 games so far this season and is slashing .283/.437/.478 with five homers, 12 RBIs, and a league-leading 26 walks.

Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller called him the Braves' "Most Valuable Player" so far in 2025.

"No. 12. Atlanta Braves: Slightly better than 2024; a far cry from 2023," Miller said. "MVP: Marcell Ozuna. As was the case last year, Ozuna has been the lone wolf carrying this offense at times. Sean Murphy has also been mashing since returning from opening the season on the IL, but Ozuna leads the majors in walks drawn (26), leads the NL in on-base percentage (.473) and has an OPS just north of 1.000. The 34-year-old slugger is probably going to secure another substantial, multi-year contract this winter.

"LVP: Corner Outfield. Ronald Acuña Jr. will be back relatively soon to hopefully save the day to some extent. With him out and Jurickson Profar getting hit with an 80-game suspension less than a week into the season, though, Atlanta's LF/RF situation has been a nightmare, with both Bryan De La Cruz and Jarred Kelenic already sent down to Triple-A."

The Braves dug themselves an early hole, but have started to come out of it. There's no one who has helped with this more than Ozuna.
