Tommy Fleetwood finally won his first PGA Tour event at the end of the season.
Now, he'll carry that momentum into the Ryder Cup for Team Europe.
Action gets underway Friday, and for the Europeans to contend at Bethpage Black on Long Island, Fleetwood will have to be able to handle the noise and be at his best, just like he did to close out the season.
He'll be able to do that in part because of his familial support system.

Tommy Fleetwood family tree
Wife: Clare Fleetwood
Clare Fleetwood is 23 years older than Tommy, and they first met because she was his manager.
Clare, 57, and Tommy, 34, were married in 2017.
“Oh, we definitely get comments,” Tommy told The Times in 2023. “But it’s never been a thing to us. Clare actually looks very young for her age and I look old — it’s probably all that sun. She’s incredibly cool and I’m not cool at all, though I am quite mature for my age.”
Tommy feels they share a background that has made it all work.
“We share a very northern sense of humor,” Tommy said. “We’re both from working-class backgrounds. When you look at our parents, they brought us up in a similar fashion, whether it be in terms of kindness or toughness or wanting to be the best you can be.”

Children
Clare and Tommy have one son together: Frankie, born in 2017.
Clare also had two sons from her first marriage, Oscar and Murray.
Parents
Fleetwood's parents are named Pete and Sue.
Pete was a caddie for Tommy early in his professional career.
Sue died in 2022 after a battle with cancer.
“Who is ever ready for that? She was still young. She was the one person, apart from my wife, who texted me every day of my life. It was a big loss, a big hole,” he told the Guardian.
