The PGA Tour's high-stakes postseason tees off this week with the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, where the top 70 players in the standings go head-to-head in the opening leg of the Playoffs.

Rory McIlroy has opted to skip the first event, confident that his position on the leaderboard guarantees safe passage through the next two stages of the race for the FedEx Cup.

Following the action in Memphis, only the top 50 will punch their ticket to the BMW Championship. From there, the top 30 will secure spots at the season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta, where the ultimate prize, the coveted FedEx Cup and its multi-million dollar payout, awaits the champion.
