Formula 1 World Championship heads to Marina Bay Street Circuit for the Singapore Grand Prix, set to take place this Sunday.

The Singapore GP is one of the most demanding races on the calendar. The twisty, narrow, street circuit, with 23 corners, along with oppressive heat and humidity, are known to test the durability of man and machine.

Defending drivers' champion Max Verstappen has built some momentum coming into Singapore. He won the last two races, in Monza and Baku, pausing McLaren's domination for the time being. After the fourth win of the season, the Dutchman is third the driver standings with 255 points.

He still trails McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri (324 points) and Lando Norris (295 points). Piastri did not finish the Azerbaijan GP while Norris was seventh. McLaren leads the constructors' championship with a 623 points, 333 points clear of second-place Mercedes.
