Week 9 PPR Rankings: WR

We talked about all the borderline wide receivers with favorable matchups in our standard Week 9 fantasy WR rankings, and while that of course bodes well for receivers in our WR PPR rankings, too, it doesn't necessarily make any sleepers or potential waiver wire pickups stand out any more. Those types of receivers are going to boom or bust based largely on yards and TDs, not necessarily because they rack up seven or eight catches and give you those extra three or four points that can make all the difference in PPR formats. So, really, you're just playing the matchup and hoping for that big play or short score.

Guys who already receive a bunch of targets (Willie Snead) or have reputations for piling up short receptions (Danny Amendola) are already inflated in our PPR rankings. The fact they have favorable matchups is nice but not necessarily a call to action in PPR leagues, at least not much more than usual. The likes of Paul Richardson (vs. ATL), Josh Doctson (vs. ATL), Antonio Callaway (vs. KC), D.J. Moore (vs. TB), and Jordy Nelson (@ SF) remain exactly who we thought they were, just with higher big-play potential.

A big injury to watch on the PPR front is Keke Coutee's. The promising rookie missed last week because of a hamstring issue, but with Will Fuller (knee) out for the year, Coutee has a chance to really shine if he makes his way back into Houston's lineup against Denver. Cooper Kupp (knee) looks to be returning against the Saints, which is also huge. And if Tyreek Hill (groin) is out, look for Chris Conley to be an intriguing boom-or-bust sleeper against the Browns.
