Packers vs. Commanders DFS Picks: Best TNF DraftKings, FanDuel lineups for Showdown games image

The Packers and Commanders both started the 2025 NFL season 1-0, and both look like early Super Bowl contenders. These NFC behemoths will square off in a star-studded, action-packed Thursday Night Football contest at historic Lambeau Field this evening, and the DFS tournaments will be loaded for this one.

Jordan Love ran an efficient and mistake-free offense in Green Bay's Week 1 win vs. the Lions, letting his elite defense do most of the talking. The Pack will likely need to pump up the volume a bit against Jayden Daniels and the Commanders, who finished top seven in the NFL in points and yards last season and got even better over the offseason.

WEEK 2 FANTASY FOOTBALL:
DFS Sleepers and Waivers | News | Player Stats | Injury Reports

Power players for the Packers include stud running back Josh Jacobs, elite tight end Tucker Kraft and a talented stable of wide receivers. Washington will counter with a 1-2 running back punch including veteran Austin Ekeler and rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt, as well as a solid receiving duo in Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin.

The points should be plentiful in this primetime NFC clash, so it should be no surprise to anyone that the Thursday Night Football DFS tournaments have been generating plenty of interest. If you're getting in on the action, check out our optimal lineups for DraftKings Showdown and FanDuel single-game contests below.

Packers vs. Commanders NFL DFS picks: Optimal DraftKings Showdown lineup

Before we get into our lineup and strategy, here are the key scoring settings for DraftKings Showdown contests: They're full-point PPR, and they feature three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. The Captain pick costs 1.5 times a player's original price, but he also gets his point total multiplied by 1.5.

Captain: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Commanders ($10,600)

BILL CROSKEY! The rookie running back has become a bit of a fantasy football legend thanks to his nickname, but he backed it all up with some fantastic runs in his NFL debut last week. He finished with 82 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, good for 14.2 DK points. There's no doubt this kid has the sauce, and at $10,600 in a game with a 48.5-point over/under he's a tremendous value in the Captain's chair.

FLEX 1: Jayden Daniels, QB, Commanders ($11,000)

Green Bay's defense is elite, but so is Daniels. Last year's Rookie of the Year gained a couple new weapons in the offseason, and we wouldn't be surprised in the least if he put up 20 DK points for the second consecutive week.

FLEX 2: Deebo Samuel, WR, Commanders ($8,600)

It looks like we're trying to load up on Commanders here, but we're just targeting the best values like always. Deebo looks like Daniels' new No. 1 man, having caught seven of his 10 targets for 77 yards and adding a 19-yard run. Samuel in a Kliff Kingsbury offense should continue to produce big numbers, and the 'Manders will need his big play ability tonight.

FLEX 3: Austin Ekeler, RB, Commanders ($6,800)

By drafting Ekeler, we have basically now solidified a rushing monopoly. Between JCM, Daniels and Ek, pretty much all the Commanders' points on the ground should be coming our way. And with Ekeler, we also get the upside of the passing-game work if Washington needs to play catch up (or keep-up) with the Pack.

FLEX 4: Matthew Golden, WR, Packers ($6,400)

Golden had a not-so-golden NFL debut, maxing out at two catches for 16 yards. He's got a ton of talent, though, so it's only a matter of time before he breaks out. We're betting on his skill set here, and projecting him to very much outperform the usual expectations of a $6,400 receiver in a high-scoring game.

FLEX 5: Tucker Kraft, TE, Packers ($5,400)

Kraft is not just one of the best tight ends in the NFL, he's also one of the most perennially-undervalued fantasy assets in all of football. He already scored a TD in Week 1, and now he faces a Washington defense that surrendered eight TE scores in 2024. Let's get Krafty.

Packers vs. Commanders NFL DFS picks: Optimal FanDuel single-game lineup

Here are the key scoring settings for FanDuel single-game tournaments: They're half-point PPR with three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, or 100 receiving yards. The MVP pick multiplies that player's total by 1.5 and, for the first time, the MVP pick also costs 1.5 times that player's salary.

MVPJacory Croskey-Merritt, RB Commanders at GB $12,900
FLEXJayden Daniels, QBCommanders at GB $13,600
FLEXJordan Love, QBPackers vs. WAS$11,800
FLEXDeebo Samuel, WRCommanders at GB$10,200
FLEXMatthew Golden, WRPackers vs. WAS$5,600
FLEXTucker Kraft, TEPackers vs. WAS$5,000

We took a similar approach with our FanDuel lineup, but we added Jordan Love since we think this might be a shootout. At $11,800, the stud QB feels like a no-brainer.

We will need either Golden or Kraft to find the end zone in order to win a big prize, but we're not worried in the least about the production from the top four players on this roster. Let's hope for some fireworks!
