Fantasy Football Week 16 Rankings: Quarterback

Fantasy Football Week 16 Rankings: Quarterback image

Quarterback, on average, is the highest scoring position in fantasy football, so it would stand to reason that if you've made your fantasy championship game, you likely have a pretty good signal-caller. As such, you probably don't need to dip too far down in our Week 16 fantasy QB rankings to find your guy, but it's possible that a former Carson Wentz owner or someone who went all-in on Aaron Rodgers last week might need find a streaming option on the waiver wire.

Matchup-wise, things are pretty good for the "usual" QB1s. Kirk Cousins (vs. Broncos) is the biggest red flag -- with Aaron Rodgers (vs. Vikings)  joining him if he plays (UPDATE: Rodgers is out) -- but chances are your normal starting QB will be good to go. Even some of the tougher matchups on paper, like Dak Prescott vs. Seattle or Matthew Stafford at Cincinnati aren't as bad as they look when you factor in injuries and recent play for the those defenses.

Blake Bortles (@ 49ers) and Nick Foles (vs. Raiders) are two legitimate streaming options who might be unowned in your league. Bortles (54 percent ownership in Yahoo leagues) has quietly crept to No. 13 overall in six-point passing TD leagues and has a favorable matchup despite likely being without top receiver Marqise Lee (ankle). Foles handled his business with four TDs against a woeful Giants defense and now gets a similar matchup against Oakland. However, fellow waiver-wire wonder Jimmy Garoppolo does not look so good this week against Jacksonville's top-ranked pass defense. As good as Jimmy G. has been in real life, he's not the guy you want in your fantasy championship game.
