We have a full slate of baseball on Wednesday, with four afternoon games and a 6:10 pm ET affair. Unfortunately, four of the top 10 pitchers in our daily fantasy baseball pitcher rankings are starting in one of those afternoon games.
Marcus Stroman (vs. TOR), Sonny Gray (vs. MIA), Jose Quintana (at ARI), and Jose Berrios (at BAL) all are set for afternoon tilts, so if you're only playing the main slate, you can forget about them. Chris Sale is clearly the top choice among the evening starters, and you can expect to see him on a ton of cash rosters. He should probably be on most GPP rosters, too.
If you want to take a shot with someone else, Luis Severino has the strikeout upside to compete with Sale. Charlie Morton and Rich Hill could also rack up a lot of Ks, but they could also have trouble going deep into their respective games. Mike Leake and Kyle Hendricks are solid pitchers who could go seven scoreless, but it's likely going to be tough for them to hang with Sale because of their mediocre strikeout numbers.

We have another full day of baseball, with 10 games making up the main slate. The Playbook will include players from all games, but our Optimal Lineups over on Fantasy Alarm will focus on the main slate this evening. FanDuel has some interesting discounts on Rangers' players today, so if you need to alleviate some budget pressure, give them a look. Obviously, their upside is limited facing Chris Sale, but it can give you a ton of flexibility elsewhere just by sprinkling one in.
There is a chance of rain in Cleveland (Reds-Indians), Atlanta (Pirates-Braves), and Chicago (Giants-Cubs). There could be delays in Cleveland, but Atlanta and Chicago look to be OK to get the games in.
