With just eight games on Monday's schedule -- only three of which start before 9:40 pm ET -- our pitcher rankings are understandably thin, but there are still plenty of decent hitter picks (see below). Still, you can expect daily fantasy baseball lineups in cash games to be pretty chalky.
High-K studs Carlos Carrasco and Chris Archer are clearly the top pitching choices today, but Dan Straily and Sean Manaea can also rack up a lot of strikeouts in a hurry. The only problem is they're less likely to go deep into their games, especially Manaea, who's making his first start after a DL stint.
If you're going the "boring" route, Chase Anderson and Brandon McCarthy are both solid options in good situations. If you're going the "boom-or-bust" route, Zack Wheeler, who's allowed one earned run in three of his past four starts, and Zack Godley, who's allowed three earned runs while striking out 12 in two starts, will go head-to-head in Arizona. Both are legit GPP options.

We have a slim, eight-game slate tonight in MLB, and there are plenty of buying opportunities out there today. Today, there are two clear-cut top starting pitchers in the slate in Chris Archer and Carlos Carrasco.
So, there are a couple of ways to play it. In cash games, you’ll want to have both of those arms in there (for sure, at least one of them) and find the value bats. In GPPs, you can fade them both and try to find the lesser known pitchers to throw gems, giving you a leg up in the hitters that you can employ. -- Nick Berns
