If the WNBA doesn't work out for her, Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers would be happily accepted in Major League Baseball by Texas Rangers fans.
On Wednesday night, the first overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft impressed Rangers fans when she threw out the first pitch in the game against the Kansas City Royals.
Bueckers, 23, wore a Rangers jersey, jeans, and her trademark high-top sneakers, with her blonde hair pulled back in a tight ponytail, when she threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Globe Life Field.
The Rangers' shared several photos on Instagram of the moment, and fans flooded the comments section with glowing praise.
"Multi athletic queen," one person commented.
"My goat can do it all," another person said.
"throwing straight heat," someone else wrote.
"This girl is so versatile like fr what can't she do," another person commented.
"I've seen enough. Give her a contract," someone else posted.

After the game, the WNBA star commented on the epic moment, telling reporters, "I thought I did alright."
She added, "Didn't put too much effort into it. I was trying to be nonchalant. I didn't hit the dirt, so that was the goal."
The former University of Connecticut standout said it was an honor to be asked to throw out the pitch, and was happy that some of her teammates showed up to support her.
"I used to play baseball actually when I was younger, so it's been a sport I've always loved," Bueckers said.
