Joy Taylor is sharing some of the mishaps she had while dating, including a guy who had an odd sex habit.

In conversation, a Dec. 4 episode of her Too Personal  podcast, Taylor shared that she once dated a guy who would keep his calorie-counting watch on during sex.

"I met a Black man on Raya. We dated for like four months,” Taylor said on the show with guest Lexie Brown. “Yeah, he was really nice. So you know, this little tracker thing that tracks your calories. He kept it on during sex.”

The former Fox Sports journalist shared that since he would always have it on it turned her off from that intimate experience with him.

“So I couldn’t do it,” she said. “I’m not a big ick person but I was like, ‘I ain’t doing this sh*t on during sex.’ ”

Joy Taylor on the Fox Sports lawsuit

Taylor made headlines when she was named in a sexual assault and discrimination lawsuit alongside fellow Sports media personality Skip Bayless and Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon. The lawsuit was filed by a former Fox Sports hairstylist, Noushin Faraji, who claimed Taylor mocked her and insulted her, and that Bayless offered her $1.5 million for sex. Dixon was claimed to have harassed her at a party. All of these claims were denied by Taylor, Dixon, and Bayless.

Following the lawsuit, Taylor's show, Speak, which she co-hosted with former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson and former NBA star Paul Pierce since 2022 was canceled and her contract with Fox Sports was not renewed. Dixon was also let go by the network in April. Bayless had left the network in August 2024 to pursue other opportunities.

Taylor spoke about how she felt in June 2025 to The Breakfast Club about grief without directly sharing her side of the accusations by Faraji.

“I have felt a lot of different emotions,” Taylor said on the show. “I think it’s a grief process when anything like that happens. I’ll say, I’ve been through a lot of traumatic things in my life. A lot. And I think any time you go through a trauma or a grieving period of something, you can’t decide who you are when it’s happening. And that’s been the biggest thing for me.”
