Paige Bueckers scored her first WNBA points on Friday night, and Dallas Wings fans couldn't get enough.
The pre-season slate of games have officially tipped off, and the Wings' first matchup saw them facing the Las Vegas Aces. Naturally, all eyes were on Bueckers, the first selection of the 2025 WNBA Draft, and it only took her a couple of minutes to drill a layup over the reigning WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson. That bucket came courtesy of NaLyssa Smith. Needless to say, the Wings were excited by Ms. Buckets scoring her first (pre-season) points, posting on X, "PAIGE'S FIRST LEAGUE POINTS LET'S GOOOOO!!"
The comments were equally excited, "That a girl!!, wrote one fan. Another added, "Lots of talent on the team," and "First of thousands to come! Enjoy Dallas fans - we UConn fans will be down to the Big D soon enough to cheer on our #5!," added others.

Earlier this week, Bueckers adorably showed off her "first day of school' with the her new team. Written on her chalkboard was her name, her season (year one, obviously), her hometown of Hopkins, Minnesota and her nickname (P). Bueckers smiled brightly in the photo, and there were tons of Wings fans in the comments showing their support, as well: "Paige putting two shades of purple to really let us know 💜," wrote one commenter. "I love lil Paigey 😂" and "YES PAIGE 🔥❤️," were some of the others.
The Dallas Wings officially kick off the 2025 WNBA season with a matchup against the Storm on May 19.
