Sports Illustrated swimsuit models Katie Austin and Ellie Thumann returned to Texas Christian University for another popping tailgate takeover weekend as part of its partnership with Big 12.
“Back like we never left,” SI Swim captioned its TikTok share of the women rocking sporty, ab-baring TCU gear. “Okay guys, we’re back,” the models lip-synced in the video. “Did you miss us? Because we missed you.”
The takeover was the finale to SI Swimsuit’s Big 12 “Be You Women’s Empowerment Tour” that has also brought models Jasmine Sanders, Jared Goff’s wife Christen Goff, and Gronk’s girlfriend Camille Kostek to the Texas campus. (The event also traveled to University of Arizona, University of Utah and the University of Colorado Boulder.)
“Thumann, Austin and [model Remi] Bader donned their best royal purple and white as they took to the field at Amon G. Carter Stadium,” says a November 10 article on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. “While the trio posed for some amazing pics on the grass, they also had the opportunity to chat with students, create content and take in everything the city had to offer at the Fort Worth Stockyards.”
During the tour, says the outlet, the swimwear models led bodyweight sculpt workouts (Austin is a professional fitness guru and the daughter of ‘80s workout video icon Denise Austin) and Beyond Yoga pop-ups.

Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and Netflix star Kelcey Wetterber also made an appearance. Wetterber rose to fame on the squad’s mega-hit Netflix docu-series America’s Sweethearts.
The events also had panel discussions and makeovers by Tarte cosmetics.
