Known for his signature mohawk, Rodriguez (4-1) competed in the cage before bare-knuckle competition. The carpenter is on a two-fight win streak with BKFC, winning his first fight in two years in July.
The Grand Rapids native hopes to be a breakout star in BKFC’s cruiserweight division. A win could result in massive fights, including a spot in BKFC’s $25 million Baddest Man Tournament.
"They’re really about to see me break the needle on the scale," Rodriguez said via BKFC. "When they see the energy that Michigan feeds off of me, and the energy that I feed off of them, it’s going to be something that we’ve never seen or experienced yet."
A former LFA competitor, Cavender (2-0) looks to go 3-0 in the BKFC. The Utah native has not seen a fight make it out of the first round.
