Terence Crawford scored the biggest win of his glistening career on Saturday night, using precise striking and elegant footwork to vanquish Canelo Alvarez via unanimous decision and become the undisputed super-middleweight champion of the world.

The Omaha, Nebraska native looked undeterred when matched up against Alvarez's power. Whereas Alvarez lived for the erratic exchanges, Crawford was cold, calculated and crisp, chopping his opposite number down with a barrage of timely jabs, combinations and counters.

Some questioned Crawford's chops, believing he'd be unable to compete against a more hulking presence like Alvarez. Crawford never competed at super-middleweight prior to tonight's fight. He showed that his skillset crosses states, countries and weight classes. Armed with his new crown jewel -- the undisputed super-middleweight belt -- he now has the proof, too.

Here's a look at how social media responded to Crawford's momentous victory on Saturday night.
