The NFL Week 6 betting slate brings us some interesting matchups, headlined by a Sunday Night Football game between the Lions and the Chiefs. That said, value is not always found in the best games, despite garnering the most attention.
So, with that thought in mind, please read below for our favorite NFL player prop picks for Week 6 on Sunday. There are NFL betting bonuses available on bet365 and Fanatics to lock these plays in.
NFL Player Props | Odds |
Christian McCaffrey 50+ Receiving Yards | -110 on bet365 |

McCaffrey Continues to Rack Up Receiving Yards
This is a number that Christian McCaffrey has gone over in every single game this year, and the thought here is that it is being undervalued. He is averaging 77 receiving yards per game, and only once has not even hit 60+. There is nothing flukey about this either, as he is averaging 10.5 targets per game. So, he is heavily, heavily involved in the receiving game.
To go even deeper than that, the San Francisco 49ers are likely to be missing multiple WRs, just like they were last game. In that last game, McCaffrey had 82 receiving yards on 9 targets. Luckily, this is a fantastic matchup against a Bucs defense that has allowed the third-most receiving yards to RBs in the entire NFL, and that game after allowing the fifth-most last year with this same coaching staff.
Even if you take out Week 1, which involved a 100-yard game through the air for Bijan Robinson, they are allowing a number that would have been good for the fifth-most receiving yards to RBs last year. McCaffrey goes over this number for us.
Jeanty Gets Going on Ground
Ashton Jeanty only hit once this year, but he is set up for success to smash his rushing prop this week. He has gone under 70 yards in four out of the five games to start his NFL career, but he has had a tough schedule in those games he went under. Every game he went under was against a team in the top half in terms of fewest rushing yards per game, including the Patriots with the second fewest. The one game against a bad running defense was against the Bears, and he blew up for 138 yards in that game on 21 carries.
Now, he gets a matchup against a Titans team that has allowed the third-most rushing yards per game on the fourth-highest YPC. To go deeper than that, they've also allowed the second-highest adjusted yards before contact. They are dealing with injuries to their DL which has made their run defense worse, while their offense has been so bad that teams are constantly nursing a lead against them.
With Geno Smith turning the ball over a ton, and the Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll getting on their OC for play calling, the guess here is that the Raiders get out to a lead in this game and run the ball a ton over the course of the game, making this a great opportunity to buy a ladder potential for Jeanty.
Herbert Scrambles with Success Against Dolphins
Justin Herbert did not run much the previous two seasons but has been much more active on the ground this year. He has reached 20+ rushing yards in four out of five games, with the only game going under against the Broncos who are a bad matchup for QB rushing props. The main line here is 16.5, but it makes a lot more sense pumping up to 20+ yards for the better price.
The Dolphins, meanwhile, have allowed the most fantasy adjusted points to QBs on the ground, and have allowed the fourth-most rushing yards per game specifically to QBs. They have also allowed the second-highest QB scramble rate in the NFL.
Not only that, but the Los Angeles Chargers are missing 2-3 starting offensive linemen and their top two RBs. So, the guess here is that Herbert is going to be dropping back to pass a lot but might be facing pressure which will lead him to scramble more, like he did last game when he finished with 60 rushing yards.
