Bills' Joe Brady reacts to 'outstanding' Josh Allen in Chiefs win image

The Buffalo Bills continued on their merry way against the Kansas City Chiefs in the regular season with a 28-21 win, and defending MVP Josh Allen played like one at Highmark Stadium.

In what was one of his best games of the season, Allen went 23 of 26 (88 percent) for 273 yards, a 123.2 passer rating, and a touchdown, while also having two rushing touchdowns and 19 yards.

That sort of performance wasn't expected against a Chiefs defense that was rolling, but the Bills had a plan and Allen, with the help of coordinator Joe Brady, executed it to perfection.

But are there any tells that Allen will be playing lights out, as he did against Kansas City? As it turns out, there are.

“Sometimes you can see in pregame, sometimes you can see just early in the game by the ball placement or he's seeing how he's feeling,” Brady said. “Sometimes it's after a hit, you might need to get him hit a little bit. Hopefully it's not a sack and it's a run.

"But I felt in the box, I think you can tell a little early where he was and had a good feel and pulse of how the game was being played and how they were going to play him. I thought he was outstanding.”

Bills now in prime playoff position

With the Baltimore Ravens (3-5) and the Chiefs (5-4) out of the playoff picture as things stand, two of Buffalo's biggest threats aren't even in the tournament yet.

Granted, the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, and New England Patriots are the top three in the conference, but Buffalo would surely fancy itself agaisnt those three, even though it has already lost to the Patriots.

Either way, the Bills appear to be in good shape midway through the season, and now can look ahead to what they hope will be a fruitful second half of the year, without two of their biggest rivals ahead of them.

Is this the year Buffalo finally breaks through?
