The New York Knicks have made a handful of new signings in recent days, with Alex Len being the latest to sign ahead of training camp. Per Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, the Knicks have signed Len to a training camp deal.

The 32-year-old Len has spent 12 seasons in the NBA, averaging 6.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in that span. He has suited up for several different teams including the Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Lakers

This past season, in time spent between the Kings and Lakers, Len averaged 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in 46 appearances.

Len to compete for a spot with many other free agent signees

Len will have to compete with many other free agents for a spot on the roster throughout training camp. The Knicks have also signed Malcolm Brogdon, Landry Shamet, Matt Ryan, and Garrison Mathews among others.

The Knicks center rotation includes Karl-Anthony Towns, Mitchell Robinson, Ariel Hukporti, and Guerschon Yabusele in spurts, giving Len quite a difficult path to playing time in Mike Brown’s rotation. Nonetheless, the veteran big man will try to make as good of an impression as he can to snag one of the final roster spots available for the Knicks.
