Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways tonight and maintain their Champions League automatic qualification position as they travel to Bergamo to take on Atalanta

The Blues have stumbled this week, following up a gutsy 1-1 draw with Arsenal while down to 10 men with a surprise loss at Leeds and a forgettable goalless draw at Bournemouth

The loss of Moises Caicedo to a three-game ban was a key factor but the Ecuadorian will play here as Enzo Maresca looks to guide his side to a fourth European win in their last five games and move further up the table on the third last match week.

It is the same story for Atalanta, who sit behind Chelsea on goal difference and have a real chance of an automatic spot in the last 16. It is a different story back home, though, with Rafaele Palladino under pressure after a poor loss at Verona left his side languishing in 12th position in Serie A.

Can Maresca land a big win on his return to Italy or will Atalanta stun the Blues? AllSportsPeople brings you the latest tips and predictions, as well as how to claim 50/1 for 1+ goal in Inter vs. Liverpool tonight plus a £5 free bet on the World Darts Championship!

Atalanta vs. Chelsea preview: Who Will Win?

Atalanta have won their last three games in Europe but we think that run will end here against a Chelsea side who have to bounce back after a poor week of league results. Maresca has most of his best players available and the return of Caicedo should see them seal a crucial three points, even if the coach is forced to rotate given the Blues' busy December schedule.

Atalanta vs. Chelsea: Final Score Prediction, Match Betting

We're backing Chelsea but only just.

It won't be an easy game for the Blues with a cauldron-like atmosphere to be expected in Bergamo but they should just have a little too much for the hosts depending on the scale of Maresca's rotation.

Expect both sides to give it a go but the visitors' bench to eventually see them secure the win.

Score Prediction: Atalanta 1-2 Chelsea (8/1 with Bet365)

Atalanta Team News

  • The horror show in Verona at least brought about no new injuries with Kamaldeen Sulemana and Mitchel Bakker the only players sidelined for this clash.
  • Raffaele Palladino's main decision comes up front where former West Ham man Gianluca Scamacca - scorer of their consolation at the weekend - could start over Nikola Krstovic

Chelsea Team News

  • Enzo Maresca may ring the changes here as he looks to keep his squad fresh in the busiest period of the season.
  • That could mean bench spots for both Cole Palmer and Reece James as their minutes are managed.
  • Moises Caicedo is available for selection while Joao Pedro is set to start up top following Liam Delap's injury.

Atalanta vs. Chelsea Lineups: Predicted Starting XI

This is how we think these two sides will lineup in Bergamo with Chelsea making several changes, notably handing rests to Cole Palmer and Reece James, Joao Pedro up front and Moises Caicedo back in midfield. Alejandro Garnacho could be in line for a start too.
