The Buatsi vs. Parker fight is in the Co-op Live Arena on November 1. The event starts at 6 p.m. GMT. Buatsi and Parker should make their way to the ring around 10 p.m. GMT, depending on how long the undercard fights last.
A 2016 Olympic bronze medalist, Buatsi (19-1) is a former British and Commonwealth light heavyweight champion. The Croydon native won the interim WBO title but lost it in February against Callum Smith.
Back in action and with Queensberry Promotions, Buatsi is ready for the signing to lead to title fights.
"My job here is to win. That’s who I need to deal with. In terms of the underdog mentality, I’ve carried that for years. It’s about showing I can bounce back from a loss," Buatsi said via BoxingScene.
A former British super middleweight champion, Parker (26-1) failed to capture interim gold in 2022 against John Ryder. Moving up in weight and winning four straight, Parker, from Derbyshire, is ready to take over a new division.
"I believe in my own skills, we’ll come in with a good game plan," Parker said. "Josh [Buatsi] has just come off a loss, you don’t know how he’s going to bounce back from that. I’m really excited."
