Novak Djokovic vs. Jannik Sinner final score, results: World No. 1 player dominates to reach Wimbledon final image

The world's No. 1 player looks primed to put another trophy in his case.

Jannik Sinner dispatched a hobbled Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the second Wimbledon men's semifinal on Friday to advance to his first final at the All England Club. The 23-year-old is the fifth man since 1995 to reach the final of every Grand Slam event, joining Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Djokovic.

Sinner secured a break point early in the first set and did not let up from there, dominating with his forehand and putting Djokovic on the run constantly. The Serbian was clearly not at full strength after taking a nasty fall at the end of his quarterfinal match against Flavio Cobolli, and he was attended to by the trainer between the second and third sets.

Djokovic was able to break Sinner early in the third set and took a 3-0 lead, but the Italian showed some championship resolve, regaining his composure and winning six out of the next seven games to take the match in just under two hours.

With the win, Sinner will play Carlos Alcaraz on Sunday in a rematch of an epic, five-set final at the French Open. Alcaraz can become the fifth man ever to three-peat at Wimbledon during the Open era, joining Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer and Djokovic. If Sinner wins, he will become the first Italian to win the tournament.
