The 2023 Auckland Open will be the 36th edition of the women's event, and the 45th of the men's.

Casper Ruud (NOR) will start to ramp up his preparations for the Australian Open in Auckland, with the tournament returning after two years.

The No.3 will be joined by Holger Rune (No.11) and Cameron Norrie (No.14) at the ASB Classic.

Venus Williams is also confirmed as a wildcard for the women's draw while Coco Gauff leads a talented group heading to Auckland.

The men's main draw begins Saturday, January 7 while the women's schedule kicks off Monday January 2.

When is the ASB Classic?

The ASB Classic is split over two weeks, with the women's beginning first.

The women kick things off January 2, 2023 and will finish up on Sunday, January 8.

The men's side will start Saturday, January 7 and will wrap up on January 14.

Some of the world's top tennis players will head to Auckland to kickstart their Australian summer of tennis, as they finetune their skills ahead of the Australian Open.

Americans Coco Gauff, Sloane Stephens and Bernarda Pera are seeded high for the ASB Classic as they ready themselves for the Grand Slam.

On the men's side of the draw, Casper Ruud leads a host of talented players ready to make their mark on the tennis scene.

Ruud is joined by Holger Rune and Cameron Norrie - both within the top 25 players in the world - as well as John Isner and Diego Schwartzman.

The first few day sessions in Auckland will begin at 11:00 am ACDT (11:30 am AEDT), with the final day of action to commence at 2:00 pm ACDT (2:30 pm AEDT).
