Dhoni, who will turn 44, has also witnessed his form dipping massively. While the veteran cricketer is yet to take a final call on his IPL career, speculations have risen over the future of the legendary wicket-keeper.

Speaking in the post-match presentation ceremony, Dhoni was asked about the love he receives every time he plays in Kolkata, to which he said: "That is the love and affection I have got throughout—not to forget I am 42. I have played a long time, a lot of them don't know when it is going to be my last time (Big smile)—so they want to come and see me play—there is no escaping the fact after this IPL.

"I have to work hard for another 6-8 months to see if my body can take this pressure, nothing to decide now - but the love & affection I have seen is excellent!"
