Since the 1992/93 season, the Premier League's name has become synonymous with the highest quality English football.

From the Manchester United teams of the 1990s and 2000s managed by Sir Alex Ferguson, to battles between Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho, to the recent era dominated by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, it's always made for captivating viewing.

There are some stalwarts of the division who are always there. But the promotion and relegation format means plenty from lower down the pyramid have earned themselves the chance to savour the Premier League's riches.

The Sporting News details the history of all Premier League teams right here, and how often each have competed in it.

How many teams have won the Premier League?

The likes of Newcastle, Aston Villa and Tottenham have come close without ever winning it outright.

Which teams have never been relegated from the Premier League?

Everton came dangerously close to being relegated this year, staying up on the last day, but they remain among an elite group of clubs to have never been relegated from the Premier League.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham are the others.

Before the Premier League era, Everton have the second-longest tenure in English top flight history, with only Arsenal maintaining their top-flight status for longer. Arsenal have been a top-tier club in every season since the 1919/20 campaign.

Everton – last relegated in 1950/51 – have been in the top tier for longer than Liverpool (since 1962/63), Manchester United (1975/76), Tottenham (1978/79), and Chelsea (1989/90).
