France vs. Iceland lineups: Predicted starting XI, team news, rosters, match details for 2026 World Cup qualifier image

France continue on their path to potential 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification with a home clash against Iceland on September 9.

Didier Deschamps' team kicked off their Group D campaign with 2-0 win on the road against Ukraine as the veteran boss bids to lead Les Bleus to his final tournament in charge.

Deschamps led France to World Cup glory in 2018, but his side have struggled to match that in tournament action ever since, bowing out in Round of 16 and semifinals of the UEFA European Championships and losing the 2022 World Cup final to Argentina.

Iceland will be hoping to cause a shock in Paris after hammering Azerbaijan 5-0 in their opening qualifier in Reykjavik.
