The CAFA Nations Cup is a biennial football tournament contested by the countries of Central Asia and is organised by the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA).
The AIFF received an invitation from CAFA for India to participate in the competition in the 2025 edition, which is also the second edition of the competition.
India, under the tutelage of new head coach Khalid Jamil, will compete against some of the top teams in Asia, including Iran, with whom they have been clubbed in Group A.
